Has anyone tried or used the Seafoam Intake Cleaner in their CRD to help get some of the old carbon crud out since I have done away with the EGR, and if so where or how did you inject it? I have heard only good things and results about it! And yes, I know one must be real careful when injecting anything in our diesel and that is why I am asking for guidance. |

According to Seafoam their intake cleaner is not for use in diesel engines. I really wanted to do this too since it works so well in my gas wrangler. I have heard of this product specifically for diesel intake cleaning http://www.idparts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=2189 but after hearing the many recommendations to not run anything through the intake on our engines I am just going to deal with it. |

If you take the entire intake off, gasoline works very well combined with a baby bottle brush. I would absolutely NOT try that with the intake still on, and it needs time to dry before replacing it when you do it. |
