NEVERMIND. I was able to make on, I will post pictures of it later tonight incase anyone need it in the future!

So in my utter brilliance, I got the timing belt changed, got past the part about the crank going counter clockwise and then clockwise, what a #()$*)#(*$)(#*) that was, and now I just realized that the timing belt tensioner requires a special tool. Would any local parts store have them?

I used 2 Allen wrenches. Put one in the bottom hole and pull the other over it and keep going till the marks line up

step 9 of that procedure is incorrect. make sure you lock your cam sprockets before loosening the bolts or you will damage your head.

I just reviewed that procedure and it does need some editing. I forgot some parts about when the cam gear holding tool should be used. When I loosen the cam bolts, the cam gear tool is locked on the cams so there is no force on the cam pins. The procedure should also have the cams torqued after the belt is installed and tensioned. Somehow that all did not make it in the document.

I knew who wrote it and I don't think its funny when someone damages their engine because of a incorrect procedure. I had been being nice about this and contacted GDE a couple times so I thought why not say something every time this thing gets referenced. It worked mission accomplished. Most people on this site are not mechanics by trade so we don't know how to do everything and need procedures to help us do things. The more detailed and correct the procedure is the better. That is what I thought this forum was for.
