I don't have all the details but you are going to have to drop the transmission and there are some pointers at http://www.greendieselengineering.com/f ... st/37.page . The 05 and 06 FSMs can be downloaded from the link on Sir Sam's NOOB guide and provide details on removal/install of the seal. While in there I'd recommend you consider installing a Euro torque converter and possible the new style transmission pump assembly just because you are already in that far anyway |

Here is the thread about my main rear seal replacement. Not a complete direction set, but it shows some difficulties I had. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=73745 I had oil on the ground under my jeep, and you can see form the pictures lots of oil on the underside too. |
