Looking for a drive head for a starter for our 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD.

My starter was in very good condition except the drive head. They could not find a part number for the drive head and want one to match up.

Does anybody have a scrap starter or drive head?

I would be willing to buy your core.

These new mini starters these days you just replace, not rebuild yourself.

Still looking for a drive head. It can be trashed, just so long as it's good enough to match up to a new one

I am still looking for a starter core.

Thanks to anybody willing to sell me their core.

I can not believe that nobody has a trashed starter they would sell for core price.

Somebody, anybody?

While the core is only $35 at most parts stores, the actual starter itself costs ~$170-215.

I have replaced a lot of things on my liberty, I've never had to touch the starter,... yet. (Knock on wood)

You may need to look in the junk yards, but I think finding one is hard. I understand you'd like to rebuild yours, but it seems this part is one of the best in this crd, it hardly fails...

That's all I want is the core. If somebody has a starter to swap, I'd buy their starter and pay the shipping. Or if anybody knows where I might be able to buy a core, I'd appreciate a heads up.

Our starter made it 140,000 miles
