Post subject:  Fuel Leaking from bottom of fuel filter at sensor

Hello Everyone,

Newbie to the forum, long time CRD owner.
New Problem.
I have had some stalling and air leakage into the fuel system. Today as I was priming the pump to get an easy start, I noticed a bunch of fuel on my driveway. Further research, i.e. crawling under the thing, I find fuel dripping out of the bottom of the filter, where the green connection sensor is. It is dripping out of, what I thought was an overflow/ water dripping point. I am guessing I am wrong on what it is.

Any suggestions on what causes the fuel to come out of there? I did just replace the filter about 4k ago, without issue until 2 days ago.

Many thanks,
Joel

Probably you just need to retighten the water in fuel sensor that the electrical connection plugs into but you may have to pull the filter off the head or take the head off the firewall to get enough access to do so.

Many thanks for your response. I will take out the unit and give that a try.
