My 05 is reading a 299 code. Symptoms: under boost, black smoke, loss of power, loader exhust. No hose or intercooler leak with smoke test. I have samco hoses with a green diesel eco boost. Thanks for any comments |

Sound like a turbo problem. Check all the vacuum lines and solenoids on the passenger side behind the air box and make sure nothing is broken, torn or leaking vacuum. Also check the turbo impeller shaft for play. And if you haven't checked your MAP sensor, check it too. |

Try boost pressure solenoid bypass and check vacuum lines to turbo vacuum canister for issues including possible melted lines inside silvery heat resistant cover where the lines run near the exhaust and behind the engine under the coolant tank. |
