Help me ID some hoses

I went to attach images, but I guess I don't have permissions for that?

Anyway:

1. I have one hose that connects to the engine inlet for the lower radiator hose, and it is shielded with aluminum, but I can't see where this goes.

2. What connects to the smallest hose barb on the thermostat? I think I have everything else connected, but I can't find a hose for this small barb that points straight up.

3. I have a hose that has a round plastic banjo like fitting on the end of it. I think this is a battery vent, but I can't remember.

Guess this is what happens when you tear a car apart and wait three years to put it back together.

1. Goes up from the water pump inlet to the bottom of the coolant tank.

2. Goes to the top of the coolant tank.

3. Not sure. Looks like a breather vent.

Agreed. #3 is probably the front diff breather. The banjo part clips onto on of the bolts for the strut assembly in the engine bay.

Nope. Still need a battery. Worked on it Saturday and Sunday. It's almost all back together. Coolant tank and CAC to engine hose once the Weeks parts get here. Worked til 9:00 tonight and too pooped to go wrench. Maybe tomorrow. Also not sure I have the right glow plugs. I bought 7V from IDparts, but I don't know if the 5V conversion was done. Do the dealers mark them? It has the 7V sticker on the timing cover, but I assumed that was OE.

That sticker was original, so no way to know with just that. There should have been a computer update sticker too, but those are usually unreadable in my experience. Maybe you have one of those that can be read?

As far as other features of the "upgrade" to the 5v plugs... Everything else is in the computer itself, sadly. Maybe you could ask Keith what he found when he did your tune. He usually doesn't mess with things unless he has a reason, so your computer program in that section should be informative, but only he knows where / how to look for it. That is not something I mess with.

Take a look at one of the old glow plugs. If there's a red ring around it near the electrical connector, it's a 5V. A white ring would be a 7V, and no ring would be an etecno 7V.

Actually, I think the Etecno plugs have a black ring - but IIRC, we already checked his and verified that he has the 5v Bosch plugs. The Bosch plugs also say 5V on the barrel, but you have to remove one to see that. The #1 plug is the easiest to get at.

Old plugs are Bosch 7V and new ones Etecno 7V, so all is well there. Can anyone verify the location of that breather hose above? I better drain the front diff if that is the breather because it was not attached, and this is a flood recovery.

On mine, the little puck was clipped onto one of the strut bolts coming up through the fender well on the left side. The puck just presses onto the bolt.
