I called my local transmission parts warehouse and they say they sell 2 torque converters for the CRD motor. The first being the "liberty TC". The second being the "liberty / Hemi TC". He also stated the second also had the "angled fins". Is this a good TC to use? I really only want to replace it once, but to get the suncoast is over $800 shipped to me. |

68037142AA or R8037142AA or RL037142AA are all part numbers for the mopar Euro TC. This unit has a 400 ftlb lockup clutch and should be enough for the CRD. Hope it works out. |

These are the numbers: Read this thread, lots of good information on TC's. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=78775&hilit=+torque Stock Mopar OEM TC is rated for 300 ft. lbs. max (406 Nm) Mopar Euro TC is rated for 400 ft. lbs. max (~ 542 Nm) Suncoast CRD-1ES TC is rated for 600 ft. lbs. max (813 Nm) If you ever plan to increase the HP & torque of your CRD with a reflash, be advised of the TC's limits....
