Hi all,

Our 2005 CRD with (currently) 149k on it had the turbo replaced back in January. Today while driving on the highway we started to hear a metallic rattling sound. Sometimes it was there, sometimes not. Almost sounded like it came from driver's side front wheel like a backing plate rattling or some similar noise. Couldn't find anything wrong, though. A bit later on in the day CEL came on and when got home codes p0101 and p0299 showed. I've been researching them and more often than not, they seem to be erroneous, but I saw one post somewhere that also mentioned the rattling noise in conjunction with the same codes. There does seem to be a bit of an oil drip toward the rear of the passenger side of the engine-yes, near the turbo. There was no loss of engine power at any time on the trip, nor black smoke out the back any more than normal. We even averaged 24.3mpg which is good for what we were doing. Any ideas, thoughts?

Thanks-Ken

Forgot to add: MAF sensor was replaces about 3 years ago just after we got the Jeep. EGR replaced when turbo was last January. Otherwise engine is factory stock, no tunes, etc.
