if it is for light snow and wet and cold roads, i would recommend Continental CrossCountry Winter (or the equivalent in the US).
One of the best ranking for light snow, cold roads, and ice driving.

The only thing i don't really like about them is their look...

I have a set of Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure with Kevlar on right now 235 70 16.

I did have a set of silent armors but they discontinued them and don't offer anything very similar in 235 75 16. I know the Wrangler Silent armors were unstoppable in the snow (with those i would regularly push through snow drifts higher than my bumper (forward or backward). Also survived at least one 4in long gash that went all the way to the belt and still ran for 2 months. I didn't even notice right away.

I went to a 235 70 16 which is about a half inch difference in overall tire height total, so its actually probably closer to stock. They don't offer them in the 235 75/16 apparently, that is why I had to go with a smaller overall diameter. I have had no rubbing so far I also have saggy springs.

They are quieter than the Silent armors so far but I have not had the chance to test them in the snow. The tread pattern is very similar except a little more open. I think Goodyear is running a promotion on them till the end of the year if you get a Goodyear credit card they give you an additional 160 rebate. After some negotiation I got them for just under 600 not including 160 rebate.

Maybe something to look into.

I used to have the wrangler at (the old, non Kevlar version that is discontinued for some reason) on my Cherokee, that was a great set of tires, great in mud and snow but pretty loud on asphalt. Didn't bother me, but you could barely have a conversation with somebody at highway speeds. My wife hated those tires because she's usually chatty and I didn't understand half of what she said, lol. A better alternative noise wise is bf Goodrich t/a ko, great thread wear, about 1/4 of the noise, not so good on snow and mud as the wranglers but still a serious off-road tire. I'd say it's very comparable with Bridgestone blizzark on snow, on ice not so much, I one don't know of an off-road tire that's good on ice though, blizzarks have a softer thread that would shred on rocks but is great on ice.

I'd look at the Cooper S/T MAX tires. I just put a set on and so far I'm digging them, but still waiting for snow to see how they do. Out of all the research I did 95% of the people that had them said that they thought they were the best AT tire out there. The only possible downside that I can see is that they are a heavy tire.

From a noise standpoint they are much quieter than the Goodyear Duratracs that I previously had on my CRD. From a traction standpoint they do great on loose gravel & dirt roads as well as in the rain on pavement.

Just ordered Hankook ATM in P235/75 16. Have read great reviews for performance in the snow. Plan to mount next week on my recently painted black rims - if the paint ever cures. Will try and post photos when mounted.

Ordered 235 70 16 I wanted to get 245 70 16 but chickened out and went with safer 235 70 16 Hankook Dynapro ATM as Goodrich KO or Dura Tracs were too rich for my pocket , got them shipped for 436 discount tires direct so another 40 for install at Walmart and will be good to go. It was a tough call between them and General Grabber as I loved their tread pattern but internet reviews made me take hankook's so will keep you guys posted.
