I paid 2500, 3600, & 3000 for 3 different CRD's needing engine work. Mileage, trim, and condition are important. All of the ones I bought had less than 120k miles. I would pay 4k for a Limited with less than 80k miles in good cosmetic shape. Hope that helps :)

Please define "blown" for us. What happened?

What geordi is hinting at is that unless there is a hole in the side of the engine it's unlikely it's "blown". What''s more likely is a "timing" failure followed by crushed rocker rollers resulting is a dead but very fixable engine.
