Find the vacuum supply line on the failed evm and remove it. Install the vac supply directly to the "vac" port on the evm with blue rubber mount isolator. This should stop the smoke issues. Hopefully the turbo vanes are not sooted up much. Let us know if that helps in the meantime.
Hi Guys. Just wanted to let you all know, this part cross references for s few years of the Chrysler 300..so it's readily available used at the salvage yard. After a little research, the part was $46 at the dealership, which wanted me to come in or fax them my credit card (who has a fax machine) they wouldn't accept an emailed scan??? So , on my first of 2 trips I was going to have to make there, one 2 pay, one to pick up, I passed a salvage place 1 mile before the dealer. After a short walk, I remembered that FleaBay had the part listed on the Chrysler 300, and I found almost complete donor car quickly. I pulled it, bought it for $16, and installed it. 4606226AC was on a 2000 model year Chysler 300, which exists fairly often in the salvage market.
Thanks to GDE and this forum's members for saving me $30.
