Post subject:  Pulling codes after battery disconnect? Glow plugs

So, the latest adventures of dumbo has left me with the top end of an engine off, and wondering if there were any codes for the glow plugs :5SHOTS:

This is the semi trashed CRD I got and I knew there were a ton of codes, but didn't think about the fact that now would be the time to deal with the plugs. If I reconnect the battery, will the codes all be gone, and if so, if I cycle the glow plugs a couple of times, will that suffice to generate a code? I'd just toss the ones I have lying around, but I don't have any 7v's sitting around, and don't want to wait to order a set. Plus, I got screwed on this deal anyhow, and don't want to put any more time or money into this thing. I just want the plugs to operate properly.
I really should have thought of this prior to installing the ARP's just in case they are still ceramic :banghead:

Thanks for any advice or harassment

If they are bad and the engine and/or outdoor temp is cold enough for them to come on...then you will get a code in under 30 seconds. I have one bad one and it pretty much lights the CEL on every restart if I clear it.

Many thanks Wolverine! I didn't want to try cycling them with so much disconnected unless it was worthwhile.
