Question, anyone else has had gearbox issues with his/her CRD? I have a 2007 2.8, 6speed manual, 82000km and when the engine is cold, no problems, once it het warm, the gears aren't going that smooth anymore. I changed the gearbox oil last week with Ms 9224 as the dealer recommend . The clutch does not slip, no cracking sounds.. Just harder to get it in the right gear. |

Sounds to me like the clutch is not releasing properly. Check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder. I suspect that the clutch master and/or slave cylinders are leaking. |

Here in the states, there are no CRD models with a manual transmission. So I have never even seen one. My best guess is that the clutch master cylinder is under the hood and looks like a small brake cylinder. The slave cylinder is probably inside the transmission bellhousing. |

Ok thanks for the tip, I'll have a look. But if it would be leaking, I would have to see some drips here and there, right ? |

You might see drips, you might not. Sometimes the internal seals will go bad and make it so it cant hold the pressure but never drip outside of it. |

If this happens only when cold, it's the syncromesh in the gearbox that have stiffened up. it's a common problem in 5 & 6 spd Jeep gearboxes (see XJ & TJ). You have two solutions, change to oil again to the correct one by Mopar or ATF 4 for the Auto gearbox that sometimes does the trick. Mine plays up at temperatures below 13C and is a real pain through the winter until be box has fully warmed up. After it's okay. I even had the gearbox rebuilt by Jeep 5 yr ago and now we are back to the same problem after 70K miles ( I have now 140K miles on the clock). |

That's the thing, when it's cold, no problem, only when it's warm and need to shift a lot.. |

Looks like you have the opposite problem I have, cold fine , warm hard to shift.... I guess it might be linked to the oil you have used then, not enough lubrication, I would suggest to change oil and make sure to use Jeep oil. |
