Hello again! I'm extra needy this week, I like how active people are on here. Thanks for all the noob help so far. While the performance of the CRD seems normal.... I Never noticed this noise until i had the lift glass open, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2WV3WhOAZo When boost kicks in, the exhaust gets very loud. I would compare the sound to crunching paper or going 60 with all the windows down. In this video I am going about 20-30mph Normal for CRDs? Anything I need to worry about? I have Samco hoses Ben |

any difference in performance? My guess would be a loose boost hose |

I have Samco hoses Ben I really dont know what to make of that sound. I've been driving mine with no muffler for so long I dont know what normal CRD exhaust is supposed to sound like. If it were related to the turbo or boost hoses, you would hear noises coming from the engine area. And you would have poor acceleration with black smoke out the exhaust. Best I can tell you is to crawl underneath and check the exhaust pipe. Shake it really good to make sure nothing is loose. Bang your fist against the muffler and cat to see if anything is rattling around inside. And do all this when the engine is cold so you dont burn yourself. |

Yeah, same here. I have no muffler and mines kinda loud under throttle but I also havent driven around with the rear hatch open. I know when my wife is driving home from work, I can hear her coming down the block while inside my house. with no muffler its deceptively quiet inside the cabin. Checking the exhaust system would be the first thing i would do. |
