Post subject:  What did I break?

So, after replacing the rack and pinion on my '06 KJ, I found this guy hanging out off to the side, detached from whatever it is supposed to be connected to. I must have snagged it pulling the r&p out and not noticed it. I can't seem to find where it is supposed to go and can't find anything in the FSM about it. It connects to the front differential, so I assume it is a vacuum line to engage the 4 wheel drive? I just don't see the connector it goes on. Also, if this IS a vacuum line, would it being disconnected affect other things like the turbo by not having enough vacuum?

Anyone know?

Thats the end of the breather tube for the front diff.

Great! Any idea where it attaches? I don't think it was meant to just flop around in the fan area!

Id extended it up towards the battery. But if you dont wanna extended just zip tie it out of the way. I dont recall where it attaches to from the factory.

Get it as high up as you can, even if that means snaking it back toward the diff and working it vertically from there. Then just tie it off to something convenient that isn't a moving part.
