Has anybody had to deal with an axle shaft the seems to be completely frozen in the hub? If so, how did you finally get it out? Mike |

Mine were pretty tight, but was able to get it out by putting pressure on it with a gear puller and then whacking it with a hammer. |

I was using a big 3 jaw puller, but I didn't use a hammer. Where did you hit it? |

If you use a hammer, use a 2-4lb brass hammer. If you use a steel hammer you'll bugger the threads. |

Use an air hammer. I just had to do the same thing on my 05 over the weekend. Hammers wouldn't budge them and the air hammer was the only thing that worked. |

I put as much pressure as I could on it with a 3 jaw puller, and then gave the hub a few whacks with my mini sledge. I thought it didn't work until I went to take the puller off and found it was loose. When I tightened it up again, the axle began to move Now on to the left side. Mike |
