WOW

Okay, just got my GDE ECO tune for my "new-to-me" 07 GCK CRD.

I thought it did pretty good, performance-wise, before. I've only done about 3 miles with the ECO tune, but I felt quite a difference. Now, I'm a pretty conservative driver to begin with. I never floor it. I do gentle warm up and cool downs. I use the ever loving <bleep> out of my cruise control. I usually drive at 65 or less.

I got this WK last Friday (yes, April 1st, 2016), and just finished my first tank. Now, keep in mind that only 1.8 miles of this had the new tune in it, so this tank is 99.51% bone stock.

The EVIC said I was getting 20.3 mpg.
Hand-calculation indicates that I was actually getting 21.7 mpg.

I've never seen a pessimistic EVIC before...

Moving on...

So, I am totally loving this WK CRD. Now that I have the miracle tune, err, GDE ECO tune, life is only better. I'm hoping to average 25 mpg. Fuelly.com will tell, huh?

So, one last thing:
-Since there are getting to be a lot of CRDs in here, between the KJs, the WKs and now the WK2s, has anyone considered renaming this forum?
"CRD - Love that Torque", versus Liberty CRD.....

No one ever goes into the dedicated WK forum...

I'm not a fan of the idea since KJ CRDs and WK CRDs are totally different, and people looking for help are going to get confused reading threads about the wrong vehicle. Ideally there would be separate sections for KJ, WK, and WK2, but I see what you mean about the combined WK/WK2 CRD area being a ghost town. Lost Jeeps seems to be the place to go for KJ CRD info, but maybe all the WK CRD owners hang out at a different forum.

I agree. WK owners tend to be snobs as well... :goink:

I think it would be good, and to help with confusion all WK owners could just put WK first thing in each thread. But, then again, I personally have a thing for the WK's

 Actually I guess I'm mostly crazy about the engine (or its history of reliability). But, I guess the extra towing cap isn't all that much, maybe I'd just upgrade to a cummins if I find the need to tow more. Can't beat the 2.8 for efficiency though.

Maybe you should engineer something to sell them, then maybe you'll appreciate them.

Lighten up, Rixram. The WK CRD is a different animal than the Liberty CRD.... it belongs in its own forum.

I say also keep it the libby forum, but by all means come in and talk about the WK, you are not stranger to us.
