Hi Team,

I was in Death Valley last weekend (amazing trip):

I had to use 4x4 a couple of times and I came down on something pretty hard. Looks like I dented my transmission pan. I haven't noticed any adverse effects so far. Does anyone think I should be worried?

I'm hooked: I'm looking at the Old Man Emu lift for my next adventure out there.

If it doesn't leak, don't worry about it, there is nothing as low inside the pan as where you dent it.

I had one 4" deep for over a year. If it doesn't leak, don't worry about it!

Next time you have the pan off to service transmission, lay the pan flat on a large wooden board like a piece of 2x10 and take a large hammer and gently beat the dent out of the pan. Done this many times on other vehicles that had dents in the bottom of the pan...and it works like a champ!!!
