Hi Team, I was in Death Valley last weekend (amazing trip): ![]() ![]() I had to use 4x4 a couple of times and I came down on something pretty hard. Looks like I dented my transmission pan. I haven't noticed any adverse effects so far. Does anyone think I should be worried? I'm hooked: I'm looking at the Old Man Emu lift for my next adventure out there. ![]()

If it doesn't leak, don't worry about it, there is nothing as low inside the pan as where you dent it. |

I had one 4" deep for over a year. If it doesn't leak, don't worry about it! |

Next time you have the pan off to service transmission, lay the pan flat on a large wooden board like a piece of 2x10 and take a large hammer and gently beat the dent out of the pan. Done this many times on other vehicles that had dents in the bottom of the pan...and it works like a champ!!! |

I'm gonna go outside and check to make sure you didn't steal my transmission oil pan cuz you pic looks identical to my oil pan. |
