Just got my itch related recall done. Took about 45 minutes from check in to finish but that was with a factory installed Mopar hitch that shows on my vehicle build sheet a copy of which I brought in. No clue when the $100 prepaid Visa card will show up but if it does I'd guess 6-8 weeks. FYI the check in guy did try to hook his tablet up to the info port under the steering column probably only to pull basic vehicle info (VIN, mileage, etc) but when he found it blocked he just wrote down the VIN and looked stuff up manually or on his indoor PC; did not hassle me about blocked data port. If you do have an ECU tune and don't have one of Sasquatch Motors block off items I'd recommend telling the service writer in writing that reprogramming the engine electronics (e.g. ECU) is prohibited by you the owner. Now I have sticker on my hitch saying the recall has been done.

Works great but a bit finicky to install due to tight access not to mention fat fingers and unsteady hands. I'd recommend grabbing 2 toothpicks or 2 "Q" tips with the heads cut off; remove screws holding port in place; slide toothpicks or "Q" tips into screw holes as posts to hold port in place and serve as guides to slide cover in place; remove one post and replace with snug but not over tight security screw; repeat and tighten both screws.

Trying to use 1 hand to hold things together; a 2 hand to hold security screw in place; and a 3rd hand to tighten down that screw was a challenge.

Seth, that's not what I define as a "good screw", lol.

Maybe magnetize the tool to hold on the screw?

I had my factory hitch checked sometime in November I think. Have yet to receive the promised $100 Visa card.
