my jeep did the timing belt while driving at 100km/h what will be most likely damage and will i have to take the head off have taken front end off, rear belt cover off, though wondering about how to take off the rocker cover and that, pics would be great, and about re-timing the motor i was reading somewhere else using pins with first cylinder at 90 degrees at dead centre in the flywheel and turning the the two cams till the two other pins go into place Cheers

You need to pull the intake/valve cover off. Once that's off you will likely see broken rockers. With the intake off all valves should be in the up and closed position. If you can then do a leak down test and verify that all the valves still seal you can replace the rockers and timing belt kit.

If you cannot find an injection dummy for the a compression/ leak down test you will need to make something. Maybe a rubber cork with a fitting in it so you can pressurize it.

I pressure the cyl with compressed air and then tap on the valve stem to verify it opens and closes. Do this on all 16. If they are not ok then you may have bent valves and will need to pull the head for repairs.

Get past that and then figure out the timing. I have several videos onyoutube for both the timing belt and the leak down test. I'm on mobile now so I can't easily get you a link. Maybe later tonight I'll post it.

Checking valve seat seals with the compression tester:

If all seems good with your valves you do not need to pull the head and can just do a rocker and timing belt job.
