My ESP traction control is driving me nuts. I have 32" tires, and I think that the increase combined with the difference in wheel speeds on cornering are enough to make the ESP 'think' that the tires are slipping. Around corners, especially at slow speeds and upon acceleration, my ESP light flashes, and my throttle is disabled. If I remember to turn off the ESP, it doesn't happen, but it is a pain. I'm hoping a pinion reset (reprogramming the tire size) will eliminate or lessen the problem. Anyone else experience this? Did it go away with a proper pinion reset? I'm a bit confused that my speedometer is not far off with the large tires. The tires are 14% larger, but at 60 mph, the speedo is only off by 3%, (2 mph). Can the ESP be defeated but retain the ABS?

It's not your tires it's the fact you now have more body roll turning setting off the ESP.It's a known issue for '06+ KJ's running higher lifts and 32" tires and sadly there is no fix.

The only company that could make a fix,as they did for JK's a newer grands already stated there is not enough interest to make the fix for KJ's/KK's so they would not make one.You can not turn off the ESP and still have ABS,even pushing that "ESP Off" button does not fully turn off the ESP,only reduces the sensitivity.

Only true fix is to lower the lift and put smaller tires on.
