Post subject:  Power Steering Bubbling / swirling

Hi all,

Searched everywhere but with no luck.

My power steering resvior is bubbling /swirling when i reach warm temps (not full op temp as my TS is stuck open). Not foaming, just bubbling/ swirling . So I know there is air getting in there.

I have checked the hoses and there are no leaks. The fluid does not go below cold low but it does go above the hot max as it bubbles so there are no leaks and a visual inspection confirms this.

One thing I did notice is that there is a little fluid on the resevior rim which i assume is coming from the cap. the cap does close tight but the seal when you pop it off is not super tight.

Could this cause the bubbling/swaying??

The only other thing I can think of is adding a bit of lucas power steering stop leaks but like I said I can see any leaks.

Thanks in advance

Chris

What you describe sounds normal.
The fluid in my reservoir is always swirling around.
Unless you over filled it, I wouldn't worry about it until it starts actually leaking.

Not over filled at all. No sound so any issues so might take your advice Flash and sew what happens.

Cheers
