hey, this forum seems to be great and am excited about my new crd. i don't think the dealer wants to do the reflashing of the computer or the tsb's since the salesman said to me "what does that mean?" should i insist on it or what? thanks for all the futere help.

Talk to the Service Manager. Not the sales person.

YES!!!!!! Especially with an '05. It's a good way to see if they have their act together.

Two most important 18-009-06 (software reflash) and 21-007-06 which is basically a transmission service/filter change for defective filters. The 18-009-06 reflash may cause an issue because some TCM's have to be replaced to update the software. There will also be a sticker under the hood if it's already done. You may also want to avoid the argument over 21-007-06 and negotiate a trans service with your purchase. You can print TSB's from www.alldata.com/tsb/Chrysler. Go to bottom of long list, click on "issue date". Next, you will have to pick through the list for the ones you want.

Get a service contract that includes a courtesy vehicle and anything else you may need so you don't end up stranded far from home when your transmission breaks with 6000 miles on it. :!:
