CEL came on three weeks ago....needs new PCM. Part comes in almost 3 weeks later, CRD runs perfect but fuel consumption has gone way up. Take to dealership Friday morning and its the usual "oh, it'll only take 30 minutes they just have to plug in the new one". 4 hours later they tell me that they can't get it started. They worked on it for the remainder of Friday and most of Saturday, still won't start. That's twice now that it has gone into the dealership and won't make it out. And they gave me a Caravan to drive until its fixed which was nice but not for a single 30 year old guy . This is my 4th Jeep over the past 10 years and I loved my Wranglers but those new Toyo FJ's are calling my name....I'd bet they wont be in the shop every month! The love it/hate it relationship between my CRD and I is quickly swinging more into the "hate" side....W

Just had my pcm replaced also. cel came on and they said it was a speed sensor code. they found no problem with sensor or wiring so they ordered a pcm. They said a couple of weeks for the part to get here but one came in about a week. They tried to program it but it wouldn't work. They had to order another pcm!! Just had it installed on Thursday. Friday I had no cruise control and had to take it back so they could enable the cruise control(isn't cruise control standard??)It now works fine and I cannot get the trans to stutter anymore. I will really try to get it to stutter on Monday. I used to be able to get my Jeep to jerk and stutter almost on command after a hard acceleration. Maybe they have solved the problem!! It's never mechanical problems anymore, it's always software issues. I also have removed the Predator Module as it made the shudder way worse. My wife finally noticed it(that's bad) and the fuel milage suffered as well as the Goodyears!!! I think it will be used only when I tow. If my shudders are fixed I might put it back on and see if they come back.

2005 sport crd-SOLD No regrets

Day 3 at the shop....dealer ordered another EGR valve and another PCM. The EGR was replaced two months ago and the PCM was replaced Friday. Basically they are grasping straws from what I can tell. I went into the bay to get some things out of the Jeep since it looks like it'll be there awhile and all around my Liberty it looked like a high school auto shop class...parts laying all around and the engine looking very bare. I feel very much like a guinea pig right now....I guess that comes with the territory here though so I'll just keep my fingers crossed...W
