I'm having an issue I can't put my finger on, the oil light comes on when the oil is cold and all the problems I found were low oil pressure when hot, does anyone have a similar experience? It is fine at idle, however at higher rpms the light comes on and dings, as the oil warms up the rpm increases until it ceases to be a problem. I would expect to have too much pressure at lower temps, especially with the sensor at the beginning of the run.

1. Your oil pressure sensor/switch is likely bad and should be replaced.

2. Have you checked your oil level?

3. Do you have a oil pressure gauge? if not, how do you know what the pressure is when cold/hot or low/high rpm?

Thanks, when I added that to my search I got a couple hits of a similar issue. No gauge, oil is 6 quarts of fresh oil just changed yesterday, I fixed the egr and I'm doing a couple short interval oil changes to clean the soot from the engine, too bad I just got a box from idparts monday. Next order I guess.
