Got a bridge for sale and some really really nice Florida waterfront property if you are interested. Even if this pig flies, it won't, it accomplishes nothing as all the laws EPA implements would be left in place. Typical of what happens when lobbyists, on either side, draft a bill for a know nothing elected legislative body member. Been there done that dealing with FL legislature for 17+ years. Sigh. Don't bother to flame me; I've seen too much of this sort of nonsense to care now that I'm retired. |

And I've already apologized on behalf of North FL for him. Not my district. |

I'd love to see an end to the epa, but as papa said, that pig won't fly. Then states can deal with this on their own, and all this epa corruption can be dealt with easier at state level. Do not understand I am for pollution either. |

What is not said in a bill is equally as important as what is said. This does not state that the powers of the EPA will revert to the states, neither does it state what will happen with the rules and regulations that already exist. Since the EPA does not craft laws, but was granted regulatory authority which is why they have the power to enforce their rules... Should they cease to be, then it is possible that their regulations may also, since they are enforced solely by the EPA. This would be complete lunacy however, and although I am no fan of the EPA's effects on light duty diesel engines, removing them entirely will absolutely lead to rampant industrial pollution on a scale not seen since the worst of the 1920s. What our vehicles do is NOTHING compared to what industrial polluters can and will do if they are unleashed without oversight. |

Epa won't cease to exist for sure, but if that would miraculously happen, the states will definitely take over 100%. There are many places already, like municipalities and states, not considering kalifornia, that have their own epa flavor of pollution control. |

You cant completely get rid of them and expect things to go on in a reasonable manor. Despite the diesel diehard rhetoric, its a very small portion of the population that actually cares. Most normal people dont even consider a diesel(not including the HD Diesel pickup crowd) and a lot of the folks that do probably dont have any clue about all this non-sense. You know how many 60 year old woman i see driving around in VW TDI's? You think they know anything about egr, def, or dpf? Well no, probably not since VW didnt have any of that stuff. |
