Just got this in one of my biodiesel newsletters:

--

Enterprise Rent-A-Car offers b99 Biodiesel powered rentals in Portland.
Now in Portland you can rent a biodiesel powered Jeep Liberty from Enterprise Rent-A-Car! Enterprise is offering 5 Jeep Liberties, ready to rent with a biodiesel blend in the tank, from b20 to b99. Customers new to biodiesel can experience the quiet and smooth hum of the engine, due to the higher lubricity of biodiesel. Also, they will notice the aroma of biodiesel exhaust from the tail pipe, indicating the use of a cleaner, American-made, renewable fuel!

The biodiesel Jeep Liberties are available at:

Portland:
ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR
1623 W. BURNSIDE STREET
PORTLAND, OR 97209-2105
Tel.: (503) 220-8200

Gee and I thought we had the whole tree-hugger market cornered here in San Francisco! ;)

Impressive. Wonder if they're going to keep the CRD's in their fleet longer due to lower maint. costs and to recoup their investment?

Not even close, :D Up here in the Pacific NorthWest, We have the trees as well as the tree huggers

I'm no Pete Rose, but I'd bet the farm they'll turn the CRD's just like the rest of their fleet. With new stuff the maint. costs are minimal and they dump them to minimize the depreciation. If they like the CRD's they'll just get new ones. Besides, when peeps rent cars they pretty much expect low milage new cars.

VR can you post any links you might have for local BioDiesel information.
