Can anyone find out when the last CRD was built for 06. My build date, from the door sticker, reads 05/06 at the top and 051100 at the bottom left corner. I guess that translates into 5-11-06 at 1 A.M. I am wondering how close to the end of the run mine was. |

Found this: The last North American diesel-powered Liberty was built May 20 at Chrysler’s assembly plant in Toledo, OH, also the future site of Dodge Nitro production. Here: http://wardsdealer.com/latest/cherokee_diesel_liberty/ |

Well this article definitely states that the Liberty CRD is discontinued. Even worse (or best for you '06 folks) is that there is $2000 consumer cash AND $3000 dealer incentive - so $5000 off for the taking right off the top. Could of had a fully loaded Limited for the price of the '05 Sport I got. |

Could of had a fully loaded Limited for the price of the '05 Sport I got. I wonder if that $3K dealer incentive is true. I haven't seen that reported anywhere else when I was researching mine (about a month ago). At least around here there aren't many CRDs for sale, either. I had to really look to find mine. |

It's true, but it's private information usually between the dealer and Chrysler. You have to work the deal to get into it. Just like the undeclared $4500 rebate on left over '05 CRDs - it too was a "dealer incentive" or cash back to the dealer for a sale. |

I think I might be reading it wrong but it should mean 5-20-06 7pm If that is wrong it may be 6-5-06 at 8:19 pm Can someone clarify? |

I called DC yesterday, and confirmed my production date of 5-20-06. And based on the label, it was at a sceduled time of 7pm. It is very cool to have one of the last ones. |

Well, the last day of production was May 20. So if yours wasn't built until 7pm, you may have THE last one. Exactly 11 months newer than mine! Got any pictures you can post in the KJ Picture section? I really like the Jeep Green ones. |

That looks real nice. Another guy on here from Ohio - Jeger (who started this thread) - just got a Jeep Green Sport CRD too. Talk about rare birds. That color is new for this year, and the CRD was canceled early this year - not many of those around. |
