Also, several press reports show that Honda is planning '09 introduction of their European diesel engine into van/suv in the us/canada market. If Honda is doing it, you can be sure someone thought it out. Their test bed 4 cyl diesel in Civic get 90+ mpg (look out jetta !)

Does this mean that DCX will wait till '09 to "re-introduce" the Liberty, or possibly compass/patriot in diesel? Just something to thing about.
