Well it did way better than ANYONE expected. 2:03:587 in 4X4. I think I could have had a 10 sec better un if I had pulled all the crap out of it, filled the tires to 39psi and found some way to keep the boost up. I pulled a 17.4 in 2wd with wheel spin and 3 adults and a packed rear of timing gear. I pulled several trailers a short distance with not a single issue. My biggest issues are boost fall off and not being able to completely turn off the ESC.

coming from an autox background and loving every thing to do with it, I bow to you in your some what stupid but very ballzy show of racing love. I think this is the coolest autox car ever to show face at an scca event. I got to give it to you, your the man for doing that. Ive been wanting to get a chip for my baby and take her to the track to run with the MTRs and then with my street tires. keep on x'n

Well I got screwed by H&R Germany on my coilovers for my Focus race car. So I had to find someting else to drive and the Jeep was the only thing I could get. I looked for a rental car but the rental place was out. If I could have kept the boost up it would have been way better.

That boost drop-off is a killer, eh? Ohhhh, to have the 6-speed. Congrats on your outing. That's awesome!

What happened with the H&Rs for your Focus?

Sent the coilovers in for a rebuild 4 weeks ago. They lost them twice sent them to another company and then sent them to me COD and did not tell me. My bank is 30 kms away and I had no way to get them. UPS snatched them back and left. I will drive the 500kms round trip this week to pick them up from H&R directly.

That's pathetic! I expect more from a company like H&R.

Well as soon as I can figure out how to download it, I made a quick video of me on the autobahn with the KJ cruising at 110mph yesterday.

wow 110, I can get to 100 with the MTR's but it takes a while for it to pull from about 87,89-100 gets to 80's nice and quick. Just that last little bit it kinda lags. havent much wanted to go any faster, Im d thru my geting tickets stage.

Awesome! Another Auto-X Rally-X guy! :D

I don't do that stuff anymore as I have my CRD now, but was big into it when I had my previous vehicle... a Subaru. Its like the old saying goes,

"Asphalt was meant to get you there, dirt was meant for racing"

Yeah the front tires took a beating. Just made the trip to H&R HQ and back, augh, 300+ miles in the rain. I have the parts now so I can finish up the race car and maybe have it all done next week.

It'd be interesting to see if full-time 4WD would help times as the wheels might be less prone to wasteful spinning. I used to be a big-autocross nut, back in the day, but haven't done that for years now.

I HAVE noted the boost fall-off, and the ease with which even the stock programming spins those wheels in 2WD, however. I've entertained/scared-the-crap-outta the wife a couple times getting onto the highway in a hurry when the leisurely initial take-off hits full boost. Especially while cornering at the same time.

Yes the FT4WD did help in the wet but the boost fall off just killed everthing
