| Post subject: | Harmonic Balancer sources? |
Seems that recently they have discontinued the harmonic balancer for the CRD and is out of stock everywhere... Well just in time for mine too go and the dreaded marbles at idle to kick in... Any leads? |

Summary: be prepared to send it out for rebuild; unless there's a bunch of NOS dampers laying around somewhere waiting to be discovered, this is pretty much the only option at this point. |

Yet again what I preach to all my customers at work and what most higher level techs know... planned obsolescence... over the next 10 years they’re going to continue to reel all the parts back pretty soon you won’t be able to get anything for it that’s why I’m working on making sure I have two of all the important items sitting on my shelf... makes me sad too... it’s the plastic and one model only crap that will kill a platform Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So ended up ordering a used one from the UK... Plan is to run that why I send my original in to be rebuilt... Funny thing is that the noise and all go away once engine is at operating temp... Only to return after cool down... |
