I have been catching myself taking longing glances at Sprinters lately as I pass them by. Even did a web search on them today. Wondering how tough it would be to do my own RV conversion. It would be pretty cool driving down the road in a Sprinter mini motor home towing a Liberty! :D :D :D :D :D

I'd say that they're worth the $80k, maybe if I win the lottery and get a woman I'll buy one and travel around North America

The RV dealers have been discounting the RV's real heavy, we were offered one that listed out $87,000 for $69,000 by two different dealers. I was about to buy a new Winne when I discovered on the Sprinter sight the changes and photos of the coming '07 models. They will be having what is called a normal roof and it is garage friendly from what I read. So this time next year I may be riding around in a MB Sprinter normal window van.

Power changes apparently coming too with a stright 4 and a v-6.

I wasn't thinking of buying a pre-built cab a chassis but buying the standard high top (About $28K I think) and building my own conversion within the footprint of the van. There are a lot of conversions out there too that are probably cheaper than the Winney.

Still be cool with the CRD in tow. It would mean I would need to remember to take a vacation now and then.

If I make it through to next summer that is what I plan on doing, hitting the road and seeing some of the country.
