I've come across quite a few 02's and 03's in my searches for a liberty and I've seen quite a few mall getters (probably female owners
) with many miles logged on them. For a 6 cylinder of this size, how many miles are safe to have on a used liberty and how good are the engines running after this many miles? I know many of you guys have probably purchased used libertys and those who have purchased new ones, how many miles have you put on the libby and how good is it running past the first 75000-80000 miles? I've seen a few clean ones but they had around anywhere from 85000 to around 98000, and this quite a few miles! I guess I'm asking how everything is holding up after 70000 for those of you that have the older libbys (minus the LBJ recall which I'm assuming most have taken care of!).
My family has owned Fords their whole life and we currently have an 02 F150 Lariat 4X4 loaded with around 120,000 miles and a RETIRED 1998 Ford Tauraus SE (haha
) w/ over 190,000 miles and still running strong believe it or not!! This is many miles and these vehicles are still running good! My mom just got a Pontiac Torrent crossover thing and it's pretty nice. Now it's my turn for a vehicle and it will be the first jeep in the family. We race motocross on ATVs so we're always traveling and racking up miles!
