just kidding..... but my E light usually comes on at ~230 miles (i know thats some crappy mileage in the first place) .... but all ive done recently was put on the basket with my spare up there, and now im at 261 and my light went on

so , kinda weird? maybe it improved the aerodynamics!

Mine went up by 4 on a long trip when I went from naked yakima crossbars to bars with a two-man canoe on them. Apparently, canoes are really aerodynamic, too :)

i know you have those awesome mudders too! My light comes on at around 290-310. I know from multiple fill-ups right at that point that I have a full 3 gallons of gas left...everytime. It will take in 15.5 gallons of new gas like clockwork. My 03 has that 18.5 gallon tank. so I know I can get another 60-75 miles after the light comes on. I haven't thrown my basket up there yet, so this is good news...I've been wondering if the fairing is producing a lot of resistence...doesn't seem so in your case. My basket goes on early next week and I'll report back too.

Hey maybe you are slightly airborn with the new fairing...you're now in a KJ hovercraft!

About 425 in town and around 520 on the highway with lift and tires with a 20.5 gallon tank...leaves about 1.5-2 gallons in the tank.

yeah...not once piece of armor here. no skids nadda. fairly light AT tires at 35 pounds each (compared to 45-50 pound KOs or Grabbers). and I'm almost 95-99% highway driving. It does drop off with tons of city driving, but I'm on the highway going 65-70 for the most part. btw, do you know how much each one of those beastly MTs weigh? curious.

I can get 300 easy before the light comes on. Its a 200mile round trip home from school and I usually have 3/8-1/4tank left after the trip.

I figured my mpg up by hand last trip home and I got 20.2! Evic said 21.5 so its not off to bad. Thats with the stock 235/65/17 tires, a 2.5in lift with full mopar skids and mopar roof rails. :)

I usually fill up around 380-420. That leaves me a 1/4 tank. I don't like to go below that.

Get your speedo recalibrated (if you haven't already). I'm sure you're getting better mileage than you think you are.

its like 60 bucks to get it recalibrated....is it really worth it? i mean i have the 245 75 16 mtrs and im not sure how much my speedo is off if at all.

Post subject:  17 to 18

Up untill a few months back I for the past year the best I did and consistantly got 13.5 MPG then in the last few months I put new tires on Dunlope 235/70-16 from Fortera of the same size, pulled the K&N Air filter Same design as stock not the cone type with Amsoil same stock type square not cone type. But I think the biggest change I made was bought a ScanGuage Series I from another L.O.S.T. member he had just gotten the ScanGuage series II. Well the ScanGuage of four guage operations at once and one of them I'm watching is MPG's. With the 3 changes I'm now consistantly getting 17-18 MPG. Conclusion keeping my foot out of the fan gives better gas Milage. :-)r :-)r :-)r

I know that with stock size tires, MY (and probably most any other) KJ's speedometer was optimistic (said I was going faster than I was), and with the 245/75-16 MTR's it's dead-nuts accurate. What MATTERS is that the odometer is no longer accurate.

oh, and it's $85 for the local stealership to calibrate mine

well how can it not be accurate if with the right mph on the speedo with the new mtrs. if the speedo is right shouldnt the od. be right?

i read on my garmin GPS though, so should be accurate
