After cleaning yesterday's mud off, taking the dog to the vet, taking him to the dog park, getting lunch, taking the dog back to the dogpark, and hitting some mud that we just HAD to drive through in an apple orchard on a trucking path (the dog told us to, and he runs the show ya know?), we realized that there was some stuff we needed to get at the supermarket, and ended up taking Madame Rubi to get them  . I think that we should have taken the KJ. ZING! *ducking*

The stock Rubi looks pretty stout, very nice. When did they stop making the front window fold down or is that new for this year?

Not for the 4 door :D . A family up the street from me has a 4 door X in rescue green. At first I hated the 4 door, but it's growing on me.

Funny, I just went to Google Maps and checked the coordinates you gave, and it puts you just off of RT38 in South Willmington (just North of the 93/95 intersection). Maybe I did it wrong? (just copied and pasted them into the search bar). Anyways, I just a bit south of you (Derry) over the MA border in Lawrence. I'll probably see you on the trails sometime.

Hmmmm....strange thing there...

Anyway, speaking of seeing people on the trails, check out the Northeast forum, two of us are going camping tomorrow night, and then someone else is coming up saturday, and then on sunday there's going to be a few of us going out for the day. Maybe I'll see you on the trails this weekend :D ?

Nobody told me, I just assumed by looking at the picture. I don't see the hinges. Pretty slick, I always liked that option.

Just take off that the 6 bolts on each side and you get to the hinge.

Nope actually the hinge is now in the center of the hood.....a single.....no longer dual hinges like the TJs.

Just look between the wiper blades.....you'll see one big hinge in the middle at the bottom of the windshield.

Its actually, truely a pain in the arse to fold it down.....you have to remove the screws from the left right outside (6).....the bolts from the inside (4).....the front two roof panels......and the two pieces of roll bar going from the overhead to the windshield.

You end up with handful of screws of and bolts in your cup holder....hahaha

Done it to mine....loads of fun! ;)

Funny you should say that... it was the second kid that prompted me to get rid of the golf and into a jeep. I was looking at the JK 4-door before I scored the kind of deal you would be stupid to walk away from on my KJ..

I say that because of I wanted a jk I would get the 2 door but the 4 door is grown on my after looking at a few forums and seen that stuffing 35's under it with a 3 inch lift is possible it is really grown on me but I love my kj and would like to lift it and represent of what it is capable of.

I plan on keeping my KJ and in a couple of years getting a JK 4-door. I will probablhy try and get a lightly used rubi, but who knows.... just let someone else pay the depreciation.

Glad you're happy with your KJ, I'm very happy with mine, and the Gas mileage doesn't seem as bad as I feared (coming from a light 4-cylinder)
