Go to a good body shop have them remove the door handles on the rear doors/ fill in the rear door and rear side glass with metal and there you go. Still could access your back seat area by opening the doors from the inside, cool look I already have the plans drawn up to do it and my buddy who still owns our shop is ready but I still need mine for a DD and haul people back there but someday....I think the new HHRs are like that or whatever them little Chevs are called

Why would you intentionally turn your KJ into an FJ? The FJ's rear doors only open from the inside too (or from the outside with a great deal of blind feeling around).

I admire your ambition, but what's the point of doing a solid axle swap and a 4WD conversion? Unless you're an expert mechanic/fabricator/welder, I would advise against it. I mean, you would be spending in the neighborhood of $20,000 to carry out such a project. You might as well go buy a brand new Wrangler.

I think it was Seth who said his SFA swap cost around $30,000. I'm sure it can be done a lot cheaper, but $10,000 for a SFA swap and a 4x4 conversion is very conservative.

That's what I'm wanting mine to look like!! Like the charcoal/graphite wheels and military star....and of course the front/rear bumpers.

EDIT: Anymore pictures of the "Military Edition KJ"...??

Bearmedic....kewl KJ. It's not a Baja without a Baja bumper/stinger.

2 door KJ takes a ton of work. Here's the convertible 2 door that Terry did for a SEMA show back in '03.
