Stuck... Yes you are! How did this happen? Lost control of your KJs urge to wander off into the woods?

I know that feeling, getting stuck all by your lonesome. Certainly not the best feeling. Good to hear your buddy got you out. At least you had some lush green scenery to admire while waiting. :D

Got stuck by myself once when I was younger in my TJ. I was a good 1 1/2 hours from home up in the mts and I took a trail that I had never been on before. It crossed what appeared to be a 6" wide creek so I plowed on through. As soon as I hit the water my front axle dropped like 3 feet. It was a 4 foot deep creek that was no more than 6-8 inches wide. I was sitting on my frame and there was nothing I could do. I tried for 3 hours to get it out and finally someone driving by on an atv heard me reving my engine. They stopped and we tried to get it out. No go. It was around 9:30 at night so I got a ride down the mt. Once down the mt. the guy started asking all these weird questions, really creepy kind of personal info questions. So I lied to him about where I lived and had him drop me off at an apartment complex a few miles from my house. It was now after midnight and I didn't want to wake up my parents to come get me, they would be mad enough, so I walked home. It was a horrible. It was my own stupid fault too. I took my dad's grand cherokee up the next day and got it out. What a nightmare!

Getting stuck alone is really crappy. The first and only time I've been stuck I was with a buddy in an Xterra, and we, being the geniuses we are, have no tow straps with us. Needless to say, I was back there the next day with Dads Dodge 2500 and a 20' tow strap. Took a coupla tries to yank me out.

So I'm wondering if the words uttered before you hit that hole were either "Watch this,", or , "Oh, it doesn't look that bad," <-----Mine btw
Until I got closer to the hole and said 'I'll just go around it."
Yeah. Slid right down into it :x

That would scare anybody into not going alone. Glad all worked out. And mosy of all I am glad you used another jeep. I hatte it when a chevy or ford or worst yet A HUMMER pulls you out.

No, he didn't tell me I had a pretty mouth or try and make me squeal like a pig. But I wasn't willing to stick around long enough to find out if he was going to either. It is funny now, but at the time it was just weird. He wasn't a big dude or anything, so I would have been able to whip his stupid but it was the most uncomfortable I have ever been.
