Prospect your jeep looks awesome! like everyone else i could've sworn those were 265's atleast.. here's some comparo pics from 245's to 265's

here are the 245's (mtr's)

here are the 265's (BFG AT's)

IMO the 265's look much much better.. and i know first hand that they perform much much better. we have 2 miles of trails in our woods and i tried the tires back to back and with the 245's i hit the rock rails and my rear diff a noticeable amount more than with the 265's

My liberty only has 240 miles on it and not sure what the best steps to get my lift or tires first? I have the 235/75/r16 bsw all season tires and was looking at BF Rugged Trail T/A P235/70R16 104T - should fit my rim right? but seems like if i get a lift i can get a bigger tire right?

Lift first, then tires is the usual order of things.

so a lift (2"-3.5") will allow me to have bigger tires right? How much bigger on the stock rim? I saw a bfgoodrich Rugged Trail T/A & the Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor both Size:P235/70R16 this is they call is for the alternate option. My truck came with p225/75r16. It seems like these tire should fit my jeep now and maybe bigger tires if i get the lift first.

Not sure on the new Libs but on the original Libertys you could go up to a 245-70X16 with not much problems, but you have 225-75x16s now correct? They are 29.3 inches tall as the 235-70x16s you mention are only 29.1 so they are a smaller tire is that what you want? difference is the 70 -vs- 75 series tire

thanks tommudd. So is it better to have a wider tire 225 to a 235 or a taller tire 75 verus 70? Keep in mind a hope to get a lift as I think a few more inches would be a good idea I think. I like the look of the rockcrawler black truck, but have heard good things and some bad things from this site.
