im sure i can set up a weekend with some clubs of sonora. alot of big boys, TJ, XJ, d44 d 60 wtih 6 or more inch lift and full lockers. but ill ask for trails less demanding. thinking about the necesary logistics. its not that hard to acomplish. any suggestions where to post it? general discusion? LOST events?

We (on the USA side) have to consider how safe it is to drive our nice rigs across the border. Most of my Mexican friends tell me that this is not a good time to be crossing the boarder, especially with a nice vehicle. Just sayin' it's somethin' to consider......... otherwise, it sounds like a great idea.

im sorry but what do you mean with "nice vehicle"?. speaking of safety, ithink border its unsafe for people who live in it and work for illigal buisness. if you feel unconfortable of the border, i can go to the border and guide evreybody to "safe passage" lol. there its no problem with tourist, evreybody likes tourist here, and im not kiddin about going to the border to pick you up. san carlos its most populated by foreing than mexicans. a lot of travelers come this time of the year to enjoy the weather.

With a nice vehicle, I’m sayin’ that those who want to cross the border might want to look into out-of-country insurance. Obviously, I think you have a much better idea of your location and how safe it is than I do. I know that there are many parts of Mexico that I wouldn’t want to drive my rig into (knowing it could be stripped down in a matter of minutes). :shock:

Or having to deal with the corrupted Mexican Police, which isn’t fun either. :evil:

I have a friend who owns a silver mine on the Baja peninsula, but we fly in. My in-laws use to live in Mexico, but they moved out about 4 years ago. If I felt it was going to be a pretty safe journey, then I’d be tempted to make a trip down there.

i must say that you can see nice cars evrey day. i live 3 block from BMW dealer,aslo cadilac, hummer, mercedez, in my city. thats the main issue, the main "paradigma". i know some places at central phoenix that i cantt drive safe. ihope you enjoyed your stay at the baja. and i hope you can come to visit our place(your place too).

Yes, the pics are awesome. Find some easy to moderate trails that are along the gulf and my wife will be sold. What time of year are you thinking to organize a trail run?

winter its better, better for the engines too. only time of the year that i'll avoid will be summer. more 100 F. soo to enjoy the weather, and drive with the windows down, i suggest, early than may, or latar than september.
like i said anytime its good, you way more experince in this forum, maybe januray to march or so.

I'm in, I want to go to San Carlos for Vacation, Fun, some Fishing, and now add some wheeling too,GRRRREEEEATTT, I wanted to go to the Altar trip, I had to work, I'll be there next year....

Or maybe LOST can join the Altar desert trip next year, that would be fun.
