Still no lift for me, but hopefully it will be in the budget someday soon. For now I have the Westin bull bar, a Yakima roof rack, the Antennax 13" shorty, added a Curt hitch, and moved the spare to the roof to free up the hitch for towing my boat. Next up I think will be a set of Hellas for the Bull bar.

Needs a wash.

First tow of the boat since getting my Jeep. I just hooked it up and towed it around town for a few miles to see how it handled and what the visibility was so that I would be aware of any quirks before heading for the river in a week or so for the first catfishing trip of the year. She towed like a champ! The trailer was nice and level too much to my surprise. Looked really weird seeing the bow of the boat right there in the rear window. :shock:

I kept having visions of the boat coming through the glass even though it is a good 2 feet from it in reality. :lol:

It was a little different backing back into the driveway in such a short vehicle though. :roll:

I used to tow with a 1990 F150 Laredo so the turning radius was way longer than in the Liberty. Wound up doing a little weaving and had to pull up once before I got the boat back in it's proper spot in the yard. :oops:

A few trips to the ramp and back and I'll be used to it and settle back in to the old routine

Speaking of the roof rack. I replaced the plastic fairing with one cut from aluminum today. I just traced the plastic one onto the aluminum, then cut and drilled it, sanded, and painted with bedliner. Came out awesome! No more faint rattle like the Yakima fairing had and I will never have to replace it because of stress cracks or getting hit by a rock from the road or a low limb. I like the plain look without the Yakima logo on it as well.
