If this thread is still active, I have 245/70r16 Grabber AT's on 16x8 Cragar soft 8 w/5" BS and they rubbed pretty bad in the front and back. In back I had to bend some metal out of the way and trim the plastic flare, and in the front I had to pound the pinch welds. They still rub the splash guard slightly in the front, but its not a problem.

I have afeeling a 1.5" spacer lift would have worked too. I think if I had to do it again I would go for the 16x7 soft 8's or maybe 15x7 with 235/75r15 or 30x9.50.

It was a pain, but it transformed the both look and handling of the Jeep and I don't reget it. When I park it next to my wife's stock KJ the more aggressive appearance and wider track width are very noticeable, and I get the Jeep wave from guys in built Wranglers.

I will take in the beach for the first time soon and will report on that, because with the stock set up it was a dog.

I did lose a little power too.
