It's Weather Shield Rust Coat, gloss international red (urethane fortified) brush on, 4 coats.

Pretty similar to Tremclad Rust paint.

see the thing i see here is everyone is wondering what paint to use???? well ugh they are skid plates for a reason and you can just see them a little bit. There bound to get scratched up so why not just reg. spray paint. Thats all I did and if they start to look like crap well 4 bolts later I can have the repainted.

True. On the other hand, a durable paint will protect the skid itself from road debris between offroad trips....less opportunity for rust to set in......

To be honest though, I used this type of paint because it was sitting on the shelf in my basement from some other project..... I just liked the colour... :D

well just to show you why it really doesnt matter what paint you choose. If your going to wheel and use your skids this is how they will end up anyways haha Image[/img]

I'm sure if I would have let them cure the full 7 days they may have stood a lil better chance but o well just had that itch

and you scratched it good!

yeah, skid painting is not that serious of a deal anyhow. I'll probably get tired of the red next year and paint them some other colour.

like navy blue! or that hammered bronze. Whatever I have on the shelf in the basement...
