8 miles is a pretty sweet amount of area! Very nice!

BTW DryBones, yep, I'm an oil-burnin' Dark Khaki. I love the color, but the beach doesn't care. Beaches love KJs!

Sorry to say it is a photochopped. It started out with just the KJ on the empty beach.

No worries, It is still cool either way. Still looks good at the beach.

Also, can you have fires on them beaches? That would be heaven!

What beach is that? All I have around me is Breezy Point and that's closed for most of the summer b/c of the nesting terns. After that it's Montauk and that's far.

island bch state park.. it's an undeveloped 10mi barrier island with wildlife conservation and observation zones. there 24/7 4x4 beach access with a permit and it is also one of the top surf fishing spots in the US. they also allow camping in the lots (most people stay on the beach tho) and they allow surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, swimming, scuba diving and yes campires are allowed (and usually encouraged!) it's just proof to naysayers that there ARE great places left in new jersey  btw i see a lot of u 'yorkers on there too (and PA plates) so it must be worth the travel. me?...I'm only 10min away inland 8) 8)

I thought that beach looked familiar. I saw ol' Barney in the second pic. I've been thinking of getting a permit for my Libby but i don't know if my bone stock set-up will be able to handle the sand.

Your stocker will be just fine David Jr. Just keep an eye out for the deep ruts some of the lifted full-size trucks leave.
