Chris, Those CV shafts look New not Reman. Be warrey, I installed New CV's and pass stubby axle shaft in Towstraps KJ a couple months ago and had clicking and poping coming from the splines on the New shafts !!! The splines were not tight in the hub, and the shaft seem to bottem out before it should !! I inded up getting some shafts form O'riley auto and seem's ok now !!

Before you install on KJ see if you have a good fit between the shaft and hub, shouldn't have play between them !!!

I'm out of the loop, what the heck is a helicopter mod !!!

where did you get Towstraps first pair of CV shafts?
were the ones from o riley Reman or New?

I'm confused

Advance Auto, first set then tried another set from Pepboys both were new I think, I think we ended up geting some reman. shafts from O'riley that had chrylsler oem ends on them just revamped.

The new ones you have might be ok, I just wanted you to check so that you don't have issues like we did and a lot of work !!!!!

He went to Daveys Jeeps over near the border of Ohio/PA great place for Jeep stuff, not many KJs though but I would say if we keep bugging him he will get more and more

X2

Also you need to remove the paint in the LCA where the LBJ's go through it otherwise the LBJ will not sit right in the LCA.Same goes for the knuckles where the UBJ goes through it,and do not paint the machines surface where the caliper mount mates to the knuckle also otherwise the caliper mounts will loosen up after a little while.

Yeah I know I'm going to sand all the places where the bolts go through.. etc...
