thats the theorical max flex a KK will get.

on this pic im at the max of the shocks and the drive shaft hit the gas tank and muffler. on the previous pic I dont have any more room to compress the tire in the fender falre but there is still room for down travel so I can do better that that but not as much as when I had skinny tires. I could trim the fender flares like the liberator and get full flex but for 2'' more its not worth it

of all the stuffed that i seen here people wont go passed 31s or push 32s. and now i see kk with 33s. i'm just wondering the noob that i am.

I dont think the wheel wells are identical KJ to KK. the pinch weld seems different. the only kj to fit 33's on the ifs that I know was swampthing and he needed 5.5 '' of lift. I have just a bit over 3'' lift so there should be a difference somewhere. I have seen a KK on 31 with no lift and one with 32's with just a cheap 2'' spacer lift and from what I read it seems like 32 on a KJ is pushing it even with a frankenlift and pinch weld modification

a lot of people here are running 32's, but you also have to remember the front diff was remade and is supposed to be stronger than on the KJ and they have a deeper selection of gears than we do.

TBH though, SWMPTHGs KJ in its old iteration flexed REALLY well

ThunderbirdJunkie has not seen it flex with the 32x1150s yet

But he is expecting it to be better.

You can get the same offset in a 15 or 16 ...

In-order to "stuff" you have to sacrifices some width and get the right offset. A 10.5" tire is wide to begin with and then if you lower your offset too much you will never stuff. Look at swapthings pics, he has a 10.5" wide tire in the pic and look how far out it is when he flexes it. I don't have a lift yet but I have a 10.2" wide tire and a +25 offset wheel and when I full flex is hits the inside of the fender and rubs. With a lift that shouldn't happen and I should be able to stuff it pretty good.

IMO going to an 11.5" wide tire is just useless. If you really want to stuff the tire to get the max flex I think anything wider then 10" depending on your wheel offset is just a waste.

ITBJRC, SWMPTHGs tires at the time were 33x1150-16s
