Post subject:  Mud day! in Colorado!

I just cleaned my Reny up from Sunday's off-road event, on Monday. Looking good going to work today.

Last night, Aurora (suburb of Denver) got hammered with a lot of rain in a short amount of time. Very muddy out there. Now she is looking even better.

I went straight out the back gate at Buckley AFB and headed my usual route home, heading east. Just outside the gate, there is a huge open field where people dump their trash, but also, a lot of people take their rigs and play. Dirt trails become muddy with all of the tire ruts. There is a section where run-off water creates a stream.

I made a quick turn into this play area and had a blast. I only wish I had someone with me so I could attempt the risky stuff. If I got stuck alone, would not be good.

Risky stuff = sharp drop hill into running stream on top of mud and then a sharp uphill on the other side with tire ruts.

I was having too much fun to take pictures but I did get pictures of my Reny after I got home.

With the drought Colorado has had for the last five plus years, this play area isn't much fun. Today, it was.

Wish I could've tried the harder stuff.

I went on a trail last Sunday and will be going again real soon so I didn't change them out. Besides, they needed a mudding since the Sunday trail was basically just dust.

I 'try" to change to my stocks as much as possible, but if I have a trail coming up within a week or some other plan for the KJ, I won't change them right away.

I went back and got the KJ muddier today, after work. Mud on top of mud.......looking real good!!!!

Expected to get more rain tonight to remud the trails.

I hate mud... Have fun in it though!! I do the same thing with my tires Tokyojoe. I keep the 17's on for onroad, and the cragars for off.

BOY! I have been getting a lot of stares. My KJ is caked with mud. Hard to see out the passneger side windows. Not sure why the driver side windows stayed so clean. I went both directions going through the same mud and water spots. I went for a third time today. Much drier area now but still some great spots to play in. So I have three days worth of mud build up....though some got washed off yesterday (drivers side due to wind direction) evening with the sudden rain burst that came through.
