It's stock so far, but that doesn't mean you can't have a little fun. We went and found a few mud holes to play in. I remember running offroad in my 2WD S-10 and the Liberty felt every bit as strong with tons more grip (even on stock tires). It's got a lot of fight in it, and after realizing that ESP is about the worst thing in a mud hole we got the tires going pretty well. The wife thought I was nuts running a line backwards, but the fun hasn't started until you get mud on the roof. There's also a little bugger that stuck on the diver mirror. Oh yeah, and after some rain there was a nice "Jeep footprint" left in the spot. Enjoy!

Afterwards...it was funny to see how people reacted to the car. There was a kid at the supermarket who screamed "EWW! EWW! That car is NASTY!" She was a little hesitant to take it out since it doesn't even have permanent plates on, but I told her a 4x4 Jeep wants to get dirty every once in a while. After running around with the war paint the wife said that a Jeep just doesn't look like a Jeep without a little mud. Doesn't take much to make a convert.

Just tell her it is makeup for the KJ and the KJ wants to look its best.

I take it these comments are about nolakjs black KJ and not my silver one??? If so, his can handle 70 just fine on the HW, we traveled from NO to Hammond, LA doing about 80 the whole time. He's got Al's Upper a-arms and Moog ball joints on there with the Rusty's lift. The combo of that with the 15" Cragers is what gives it the stance. I don't think he has any wheel spacers on there.

I Think it looks awesome, once they come out with a taller lift he will be able to stuff them better.

Now Jeepster..... Zero flex? I hang with Tjs on 35s and up pretty well. It flexes enough.


They do rub at full stuff but I am working on a solution for some of that. As far as holding 70 it is tough. She would rather do 80 Very stable in the turns. I ain't mad at ya Jeepster

Hehe, I didnt mean anything bad. Its an awesome looking libby. The reason i say 0 flex is b/c I had some wider(255/70/16) tires and I had to get some daystar extended bumpstops. It took a good 1.5in of upward flex away. You have nice droop though!

How does it do on the hills? Thats what got the best of me..

Yeah I hear ya Jeepster. I got the Cragars "preowned" for a great price and knew it would be close as far as the bs goes. At first I was p!$$ed that they rubbed so much. Now I like the wide stance and I hope to compensate for the loss of up travel with increased down travel. Extended bumpstops, some RLCAs etc. I should probably start a thread about this huh? What did you do to solve the problem? New rims with better bs?

I am running Cragar Soft 8s 15x8 rims with 4" of backspacing (the tape says closer to 4.25 ???), 30x9.5 BFG MTs. They rub alot in back at full stuff but the flares are holding tough. The lift is a Rustys 2.5" coil lift. NO cleavis lift or extra spring isolators .....yet.
