Its too bad they decided to continue with the name "Unlimited" for the 4 door Wrangler.....as it is CLEARLY from the "Rescue" concept.....they even have the "Rescue Green" as a color option. |

As a diecast collector, I just can't get enough of the Jeep castings. Here are a few of mine.

As I posted before, I am awaiting my '05 Liberty to be relieved from duty as a sales person's car at work, so I can take posession... "any day now"... aargh... In the mean time I've been slightly obsessed and probably pretty annoying at home, pointing out Jeeps on the road, showing off pictures, and generally babbling about "my Jeep"... So yesterday I was presented with my very own Matchbox Liberty as above, and basically told to shut up already... lol Dave |

Once i get situated in my new room, i'll have to take a pic of all my die cast models... Over 800 matchbox and hot wheels and about 50-55 1:18 scale models... Then there is the original packaging collection i have... Glad to see i'm not the only uber die-cast collector...THANK YOU JJ!!! |

I generally prefer Hot Wheels to Matchbox. Ive just always thought they were of higher quality. Like they would more often be all metal whereas Matchbox have more plastic. Still, theyre each only a buck apiece...so from time to time I rummage through the shelves and find something awesome. One that I never found was the Hot Wheels 2nd generation Dodge Ram (1994-2001), always wanted one. |

That one pic shows about an 1/10 of my collection of diecast, mostly Hotwheels. That bottom shelf has over a thousand dollars worth of old original Redline Hotwheels from the late 60's, early 70's. I also have a cabinet full of flamed cars which, along w/ the Jeeps, is all I bother to buy these days. All flamed cars.
Redline Jeeps, aka Grasshoppers.
Yes I am a freak. |

Hey, I recognize some of those, like the 13th Treasure Hunt vw bus. Mine's on my dresser, not far from my Jeep Liberty LOST: Moab 2006 Edition, and some of the good stuff. |

Now you've got me wondering.....what do you collectors smell like....is it bad? Serious question now. Do they still make them with real rubber tires on them? It seems like a lot of the hot wheels I see now just have plastic ones. |
